چکیده
Abstract Takotsubo syndrome occurs in 1-2% of patients admitted the emergency department with suspicion ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), over 90% being postmenopause women. Psycho-emotional or physical stress is main trigger that causes release catecholamines, an important role pathophysiology cardiomyopathy. In most cases, supportive and symptomatic treatment sufficient, a dynamic follow-up left ventricular (LV) function. Usually, complete recovery 3-4 weeks. We are presenting case 67-year-old patient severe angina attack which occuredafter major psycho-emotional stress, electrocardiographic appearance anterior STEMI echocardiographic apical ballooning, both compatible syndrome. Coronary angiography showed muscle bridge systolic compression 75% on descending artery (ADA). The evolution was marked by occurrence cardiogenic shock remitted under treatment, LV particularity resides acute coronary (ACS) after associated muscular bridge, as well shock.

T akotsubo syndrome (TTS) is an acute heart failure syndrome that predominantly affects post-menopausal women. It is characterized by substantial morbidity and mortality, which equal those of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and are still underappreciated (1). TTS and ACS share many clinical features on admission, and an estimated 1% to 2% of all patients with suspected ACS are finally diagnosed ...

INTRODUCTION The apical ballooning syndrome (ABS) is a single reversible cardiomyopathy often triggered by a stressful event. We aimed to present a case report regarding this disorder. CASE PRESENTATION Here we present the case of a 77-year-old female hypertensive patient, sedentary and non-smoker, diagnosed with apical ballooning syndrome. We describe the clinical signs and symptoms, changes...

For the past 25 years there has been an accelerating stream of literature reports on a pathological entity, called Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) (2,882 items in Pubmed, in response to the MeSH term “takotsubo”, as of 4/5/16),1 a term coined by Sato et al,2 and Dote and al,3 when they described in 1990 and 1991 respectively a transient left ventricular (LV) dysfunctional state, which make the angiogr...

Tako-Tsubo syndrome occurs predominantly in women over 60 years of age with a history of stress. The presentation resembles acute coronary syndrome, with electrocardiogram changes that normalize within 97-191 days.1 The echocardiogram shows decreased apical contractility with basal hyperkinesia and occasionally, intraventricular gradients,2 and the alterations return in 1-3 weeks. Enzyme elevat...
متن کاملTakotsubo cardiomyopathy - the broken heart syndrome.
This report describes a case of a seventy -year old woman with the special form of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) preceded by acute emotional stress. The coronarography revealed normal coronary arteries, however cardiac enzymes and catecholamines had increased values. Electrocardiogram indicated the changes characteristic of either acute coronary syndrome or myocarditis.
